Origins

Meet Joey, a 28-year-old music artist originally from sunny Scottsdale, Arizona, recently moving to the vibrant Miami to immerse himself in a larger music scene. Performing under the name JAYCiX, he has classically trained on the piano for several years, he developed his musical skills early, which laid a foundation for songwriting. About four years ago, he started producing music, technical skills for which he quickly mastered thanks to his aforementioned background in music theory and composition.

Musical Style & Influences

Joey’s creative vision has been shaped by a mix of his father’s favourites including classic rock and pop icons like The Beatles, Billy Joel, and Elton John. Later on discovering electronic pioneers Daft Punk and Zedd, who first introduced him to the world of EDM. Modern influences include Tiesto, David Guetta, and Jon Bellion, all of whom inspire his dynamic approach to House music.
His music primarily falls within the mainstream of the house genre, often blending pop motives while also incorporating unique elements to maintain rich, engaging melodies that are appealing to a wide audience. Rather than delivering a specific message, he focuses on creating engaging, melodic music that resonates emotionally with listeners. Whether upbeat or mellow, his music aims to evoke enjoyment.

Remixes & Collabs

For JAYCiX, remixing is about finding inspiration in catchy vocals or melodies and reimagining them in his own style. His process usually begins with pulling an acapella track and experimenting with the instrumentals, letting creativity flow in the form of a jam sesh until a fresh idea emerges. He then refines the concept in Logic Pro, building it into a full remix. Some of his best works - in my opinion - include Now Or Never and Save Me.
One of the highlights of his career so far is his collaboration with former American Idol finalist Robbie Rosen on the track “Taboo,” which gained substantial popularity and hit the top 100 Pop Charts in Brazil. This project stands out as a great milestone.

Artistic Growth

JAYCiX’s growth has been steady yet swift, given that his first official track dropped only a couple of years ago. He attributes his evolution to consistent improvement in production skills, which has allowed him to consistently deliver top-tier, well produced music. He’s excited about the direction his career is heading and is confident in his ability to produce music that stands out in today’s competitive industry and we’re excited to see where he takes his craft next.

Performing Live

Performing live, Joey thrives on the crowd’s energy and the electric atmosphere of big shows. He has played at notable venues like LAVO New York and PRYSM Chicago and shared the stage with big names like PiCKUPLiNES, Cheat Codes and Dzeko. For him, large-scale performances are especially thrilling due to the high-energy vibe they generate.
